Pday bike ride with the Rays this morning.
The fish were still flopping in that bucket. The liquid in the coke bottles is gasoline for sale. We went 12 1/2 miles. It was a great day for a bike ride!

I love sunsets in the evenings, sunrises in the mornings and looking at the stars at night!
I can't believe how the farmers just ride on top of their harvest trucks - it just makes me so nervous.
Kids!
Just look at this amazing group of interested people joining our missionaries for FHE.
Here is the write- up from Sister Bernales about this photo! Hell9 po President, good afternoon Happy Pday!! I am grateful for this Pday to send an email and share to you my experiences for this past week here in the field. This President was so amazing we witnessed a lot of Miracles in our area. One of the highlights that we had President was the Family home Evening to the Atendido Family last Friday together with our District. That night was so Memorable to me. I remember the time that the missionaries used to teach my family when I was kid and the missionaries held an FHE also and it's a kind of flashback to me. It was very Amazing and I see that the Atendido family enjoyed the FHE. I enjoyed very much this week President even though we encountered opposition but I know it's part of the work. And As we testify Jesus Christ each day it helps me grow spiritually. I love this work President and I really love to be a missionary.
Dinner with President & Sister Corpuz of the Santa Ignacia Stake.
This is one of the dresses that you sent to us. I am so happy because I gave it to a Sister missionary - Sister Peterson. One of the people that she is teaching is going to get married in that dress! Then she, the newly married, & her husband will be baptized after the marriage! He will be wearing a white shirt that was also sent by you! We are slowly giving out the clothes! It is awesome to help out our missionaries. Thank you!
This is Elder Lagan. He served in our mission for 9 days. He was just so homesick. Your dad worked so hard and tirelessly to keep him here. But in the end, if a missionary is insisting to go home there isn't much you can do to keep them here. As your dad & I sat and visited with him, Elder Lagan was weeping - it felt so heartbreaking. Hopefully Eder Lagan can return home and be welcomed by his family and branch, prepare more for being away from home and then return as a missionary at a future date - or maybe begin a service mission. There are many options for him. We just hope and pray that he can continue to develop as a life-long disciple of Jesus Christ.
Oops - I sent this to the wrong chat! This is Sister Rafada - she knows Mark & Cathy Peterson. I meant to send this to them.
What I really wanted was a picture of this family all sitting in the back of the pick-up driving home from church. But I don't think it shows the truck!
Sister Ponitini & Sister Petiero after our Stake Mission Coordination meeting in the Angeles Stake.
Your dad saw 5 of these guys on our front lawn yesterday - Can you please show them to the grandsons for him?
From the tree in our front yard - it’s mango season
He tried tofu & even liked it!
Mario in the white t shirt will be baptized Wednesday. We had a beautiful lesson with his sister-in-law Mehl. This is a great work.
Service Missionaries in the Philippines Angeles Mission
Mabalacat Zone Conference March 14, 2024
Tomorrow morning we are meeting with the district of service missionaries that serve in our mission. As I prepared a thought for them I read the Missionary Standards for Disciples of Jesus Christ—Service Missions. I was so touched by wording of that handbook. It really is beautiful. Here is one paragraph that touched my heart: Remember that how you serve the Savior is more important than where you serve or what you do. President Russell M. Nelson declared: “Through a lifetime of service in this Church, I have learned that it really doesn’t matter where one serves. What the Lord cares about is how one serves” (“Ministering with the Power and Authority of God,” Ensign or Liahona, May 2018, 68). Your service is for the Master, and you are invited to serve like Him!
