A beautiful drive through the rice fields
Flooding in Camiling. We have displaced Elders & Sisters. Some with out food, water & electricity. But so far the attitudes are good. There are opportunities to serve.
Beautiful baptism of Alea she bore such a sweet powerful tender testimony. The youth in our mission are inspiring! Oh the joy we felt as we had the opportunity to witness this baptism today! Makes all the driving in the rain worth it!
Sister Camiling, Alea. sister Gandiola, Sister Van Brockton
We are just leaving the apartment of Elder Montejo. His father passed away earlier today. He had the option to go home about a week ago because his father was so ill & wasn’t expected to live. Elder M finishes his mission next week & will return to his family then. I’m so incredibly impressed with him. He & his sister are the only members of their family of 10 children. I can’t even put into words how my heart feels about Elder Montejo. We have been immensely blessed with such love for our missionaries. Your dad gave him a beautiful blessing tonight.
He has been such a faithful wonderful missionary! Keep our missionaries in your prayers. We love you family!!!!
Maybe you could also pray that it will stop raining
Elder Montejo is pictured on the right of this picture with his companion Elder Arquiola! They are a couple of the best missionaries in the mission! Look at those smiles

Crossing the bridge over the swollen Camiling River!
Last one for now!!! The sisters missionaries ride their bikes over this bridge daily! We will have to bring our bikes & try it out! Our missionaries are amazing!!! The Filipino people are amazing!
Wonderful people in the Pindangan ward!

Part of my heart just left our mission & went with these 9 fine young men! I love each of them so much! I’m so proud of them for a job well done!
this is the funniest picture - Let me tell you why! We got to a baptism and the Elders told us that we were invited to sing the musical number with them. The song was Consider the Lillies which I think is a beautiful song! But I have never even sung it before - ever. AND we only had the words, no music notes. AND the guitar kept getting off... no piano. Just imagine! Plus of the six of us - I don't really think there were any what I would consider "Good Singers". The ward mission leader sent me the photo
Baptism day! Sister Franzine & her two sons - Zack & Terrance
Anna Marie & ??? (I will get the name)
The Balbuena Family!!
Baptism of Brother William!
These are my RS friends from Balibago ward! They are an awesome group! The sister on the left has a daughter just waiting for her visa become she was called to serve in Saint George Utah mission. Notice the lady in the red T-shirt. She was the one that was baptized earlier that day.
Welcome - Elder Zarchin!
Welcome Elder Golightly!
Welcome Elder Flortentin!
Welcome Elder Barbosa
Welcome Sister Leva'a!
Welcome Sister Sollos!
Welcome Elder Lequingan!
Welcome Elder Tabaquierao!
Welcome Elder Escalona!
Elder Lorejo!
Just look at the height difference between Elder Barbosa & Elder Florentin!!! We had wonderful trainer orientation Thursday at the Mission office (we are so excited for this group of capable wonderful trainers!!! So much depends on them!) and then our welcome the new missionaries & New Missionary Orientation was at the mission home Friday! What an amazing group of missionaries! We lost 9 excellent missionaries on Thursday morning - but just look at who we gained! Oh mission life is incredible!
After the past week - we are both feeling like we better make sure we aren't trying to run faster than we have strength. We see the Lord's hand in this mission. We see miracles every day as we are guided to certain missionaries or certain people. That has to be one of the choice blessings of serving - being an instrument in the hands of the Savior. We are grateful for our team of senior missionaries who provide such a strength to this mission in thousands of ways!
Your dad said tonight- “I guess we’re pretty much getting used to living in the Philippines, when you aren’t startled by the lizard that lives in the kitchen. It just feels pretty normal.”
