May 10th - 17th 2026

Our May 6 Departing group of missionaries.

Sister Lesano

Sister Acosta

Sister Pernito - joined the church when she was 14 with her older brother.  They are the only members in their family.  She is so hopeful that her parents will be interested in the Gospel once she returns home (so many of our missionaries have that hope.). What a powerful testimony she shared to our mission. Her message included that missionaries should never give up on interested friends, and that there is a time for everyone.  It was so touching.  Her brother also served in the Angeles mission.  It has been amazing to watch this tiny sister serve.

Urdaneta temple. This will always be a special place for us!  I was the first one from our group to enter the celestial room after our endowment session.  I sat down in a good spot, so that I could watch each of our departing missionaries enter in that beautiful room.  My heart was filled with such gratitude and love for each of them as they entered that room.  These missionaries sacrifice so much and work so diligently (for the most part) We have been truly blessed with charity and love for each of the 500 missionaries that we have had the privilege to serve with.  My heart is always being stretched - especially during the week of departing and arriving missionaries.  These are the tender mercies I hope to always remember.

I love when we get to witness the moving of a kabo, also called a Nipa Hut.  They are built from bamboo and are to be flood proof & ventilated.  I have good memories of being with sister missionaries as lessons we taught and the spirit was felt in these cute houses.  If we could figure out a way to get one home, I'd love to have one in our backyard!

10 missionaries departed Wednesday, and 16 arrived today! Our groupd included 12 sisters. We are now up to 192 missionaries!
