We hiked to the top of Mt Pinatubo! Here's the story - Once we passed our blood pressure test we jumped in a jeep and they took off. It was quite a ride! The ride to our hike took about 75 minutes - they did give us a break in the middle to stretch our legs and stretch our backs. We stood in the back of the jeep most of the time - actually your dad stood the entire time while I sat down for part of the ride back.

The hike - 2 miles in - was beautiful. It was in the jungle near a stream. It was probably my favorite part of the day. When we made it to the lake, I wish i could have jumped in for a swim. We had lunch on the beach.

We had a very happy Valentine's dinner with our Senior missionaries! The restaurant had live music and gave each lady a red rose. They Filipinos love to celebrate any holiday they can. We also enjoyed the buffet dinner at Markt Restaurant.

Guess it looks like all we do around here is hike and eat out. Don't be fooled by these pictures - it's been a busy couple of weeks, (well you know a busy last 19 months actually). We have been to stake conferences the past 3 weeks. It is always amazing to sit on the stand in the chapel and look out over the audience of black haired faithful saints. I feel so close to the members - probably because of the love we all share for our Savior, Jesus Christ. It's been great to meet and interact with so many of our missionaries. We learn so much from each of them. The stories of challenges, trials, and triumphs inspire us almost daily. It gets me emotional knowing what we know about the great plan of our Loving Heavenly Father. The verse in D&C 82 - where much is given much is required plays in my head so many times. We are being sustained, guided and blessed. Thank you for your prayers. Thank you for the messages and the photos. Thank you for inspiring us to keep on keeping on. We love you all!
