August 3rd - 10th
We usually don't just stop at restaurants we pass by because you never know what they might be serving. But Friday night, we were out in the beautiful country near Camiling, and saw a lot of lights at a resort/restaurant called Hermosa Juanita (I was secretly hoping for chips and salsa). They had a USDA steak menu so we went for it. As dinner was being prepared, we walked through the "gardens". The pictures they took of us at every spot crack us both up. It looks like a prom date or something.
Those were just a few of the random Zone Conference pictures that Sister Orchard sent to me. She LOVES to take pictures! Maybe it will give you an idea of what it is like here!
President Bingham working with Elder Allen and Elder Godala - plus a wonderful member who joined the lessons. Working with missionaries is always one of our favorite things! The missionaries LOVE working with President Bingham and he makes them feel loved and appriciated.
This lesson might have been one of my favorites so far - probably because it was taught in English as the gentleman in the pictures is from Norway. Don't you LOVE seeing the power of the Book of Mormon in the photo? As we read various scriptures together, there was such as strong spirit. The women is a member but hasn't been active since she was a very young girl. I just wish everyone of you were with me on a night like this one - walking and sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ with everyone we meet.
This is their daughter Ruthie.
One of the most incredible things I get to witness is how the missionaries love to hear from their beloved President. They hang on every word he teaches. He does such a wonderful job inspiring and teaching. I am always in awe as he interacts with these faithful missionaries. You should all be so proud of the work he is passionately doing every minute of every day! He has endless evergy and is constantly looking for more ways to inspire, uplift and turn missionaries to their Savior, Jesus Christ. I see the lord working through Michael daily. What a privilege for me to witness. How grateful I am for him. He is ever aware of me and so thoughtful. I love him more that I thought was humanly possible!
We welcomed Sister Adjaottor to our mission recently. She is from Ghana. Her sister and brother-in-law are the new mission leaders in the Côte d'lvoire Africa mission. She's an awesome missionary and will be a blessing to our mission. (That photo reminds me that I need to work on my posture for pictures.)
Encounter with a carabao.
Baptism in Burgos Branch. They don't have a font and the batptism was preformed in the River. Elder Tamayo and Elder Golosino. Baptism of Elvin.
Baptism of the Bernardino Family in Cuyapo. Elder Abuton and Elder Sangria. The Cuyapo Branch has an outdoor baptismal font. What a beautiful setting to make a covenant with God.
