Message to Eagle 8th Ward
The ward mission leader, Mike Taylor requested that we send a paragraph about our mission - this is what I sent...
Putting our thoughts of our mission into one paragraph just sounds pretty much impossible - but here goes:
Highs: Baptisms, Zone Conferences, Stake Conferences, sacrament meetings, Mission Leadership Council, and receiving new missionaries.
Lows: Saying goodbye to missionaries as they have completed their service and watching them leave the mission home in a van to return to their homes
Fun: Riding bikes with missionaries to teaching appointments. Yipee!
Unexpected: The profound love and appreciation we have developed for every missionary in our mission.
Tender: Learning the background life stories of faithful missionaries and members from the Philippines and other areas of the world.
Touching: Feeling the power the Savior can give us to strengthen our confidence and to stretch us in ways we never imagined.
Inspiring: Feeling the influence of the Savior and His Atonement working in our own lives as we stretch and grow in our assignment.
Miraculous: Seeing missionaries - young and senior - changing lives, their own and those they serve every single day. (We LOVE our Senior Missionaries. By the way – they are vital to our mission.)
Best: Serving with our best friend - each other!
Awesome: Witnessing the Savior doing His work here in the Philippines with missionaries, members and interested friends
