Elder Sinamban! He is the best! He is no longer our faithful assistant. A faithful missionary for sure! He was the companion of Elder Trujillo-Coello for 9 days in the most northern-eastern part of our mission and is now heading to the southern-western part of our mission! Such is life in this mission. (He wanted a photo even though he has been serving here in this mission for the past 21 months)

I like them better when we find them dead...

The caribou work hard around here. The grain on the road is rice. They dry it out on the road and then sweep it up and bag it. It is quite a process. On our drive to Victoria we say miles and miles of rice drying on the road.

This is David. He lives in Momonit. He is a recent convert of one year. He is a really sharp 10 year old! He has a pet spider in his box!

Elder Llano, Elder Salazar, Elder Koon & Elder Baquinquito. Baptism in Birbira. Baptism of Justin & Josheph Dela Cruz and of Brother Artemio Pastor. September 16, 2023 3PM. You can see Elder Salazar holding a phone. Artemio Pastor's daughter, Sister Pastor, is serving as a missionary in Hawaii. (In the same mission as Ken & Mari Tanner! They know each other!) She was on the call to witness the baptism of her father. Her father has overcome much to be baptized!

What an amazing group of missionaries! Did you notice how many tall elders get sent to our mission? I think of them riding in jeepnies and trikes! They standout - for sure!

What can I say about this group of departing missionaries?! We had them at the mission home Tuesday September 19 for dinner, interviews with President and departing testimony meetings. We laughed, oh boy do they laugh, and we cried.

Elder Manguiran. He has been in the hospital in Quezon City. We are hoping that he will be able to return to his home in the Philippines tomorrow!

This citrus fruit is delicious - it like a very large grapefruit. It might be a pomelo. Brother & Sister Mabalot give them to us when we visit Pindangan. Great visit with Sister Schuster, Sister Bernales, Elder Rasmussen and Elder Casinillo. It was a good day.

Elder Rasmussen is the tall elder. They keep sending very tall Americans to the Philippines.
